Soda Forms

Before getting into the types of Soda Forms that all Pop Planeteers manifest upon drinking soda, remember the 3 truths of soda:

  1. Soda is the current that reveals the universe’s deepest truths and desires.
  2. The appearance of one’s Soda Form is decided on which pillar of their soul is the strongest: their most innocent truths, or their deepest wants and desires.
  3. Soda is a vessel of nostalgia. One’s own childhood and memories often shape what defines the strength of their truths and desires. Soda draws its power on the earliest experiences that shape every living being.

Breaking Down the Soda Forms
Because soda reveals the consumer’s deepest truths and desires, there are quite a few factors that the universe weighs when deciding a consumer’s Soda Form. The first factor is the consumer’s relationship with their nostalgia, which influences the next factor, which is the consumer’s perception of their past, their present, and their future. The final factor is whether the Soda Form reflects the consumer’s most honest, inner truths, or whether it reflects their deepest wishes and desires, based on their relationship with their nostalgia.

Formulation: Refers to the main variant of Soda Form and the sub-variants that the consumer falls under.

Past-Formulated: Refers to consumers with a strong connection to their past.

Present-Formulated: Refers to consumers with a strong connection to their present.

Future-Formulated: Refers to consumers with a strong connection to their future.

Want-Formulated: A sub-variant of any of the three main categories (past, present, and future) that refers to a consumer with a heavier tendency towards feelings of wishing, desiring, wanting, or lacking in regards to their perception of their past, present, or future.

Truth-Formulated: A sub-variant of any of the three main categories (past, present, and future) that refers to a consumer with a heavier tendency towards feelings of straight-forwardness, neutrality, or contentedness in regards to their perception of their past, present, or future.

Types of Soda Forms
Past-Formulated: The Pop Planeteer is stuck in the past in some way.

Truth Formulation: The Pop Planeteer may zero in on the bad feelings of the past and be eternally tormented by the demons of yonder. They may also be perfectly content with their past, and hold a certain amount of fondness towards their childhood without reaching a point of obsession.

Want Formulation: The Pop Planeteer may be stuck on forever chasing the good feelings of the past, and is stuck in a cycle of yearning for the same nostalgia as before. They may find themselves chasing after these feelings. Alternatively, they may also wish for a happier past, or wish that something had gone differently in the past.

Present-Formulated: The Pop Planeteer is either focused on the moment or focused on escaping the moment.

Truth Formulation: The Pop Planeteer has little to no issues with the present moment, and generally stays true to who they are today. However, it is also important to note that others’ projections of a Pop Planeteer can also warp a Pop Planeteer’s sense of self and affect their truth formulation.

Want Formulation: The Pop Planeteer may constantly be seeking new moments to escape to in their attempts to run from the present. Or, they may simply wish for a happier life in the moment.

Future-Formulated: The Pop Planeteer constantly has the future on their mind.

Truth Formulation: The Pop Planeteer has big ambitions, feels hope for the future, or has some plans they’re looking forward to. Nostalgia comes into play here oftentimes when the consumer already has a good relationship with their nostalgia.

Want Formulation: They’re MASSIVELY afraid of what lies in wait for their future. If they even have a future at all. The consumer may harbor an unhealthy relationship with their nostalgia.
